Our Friend, Wayne, hosts a wonderful party every 4th of July. This year's party had a jungle theme and many of us wore leopard prints or tropical prints though some stuck to the traditional red, white and blue. While not on the official parade route, the larger floats and vehicles drive right past Wayne's office and it has become a tradition for many of the elected officials to stop by. The Governor must have felt at home: with all the leopard prints, we resembled a mini Honfest. I was thrilled to meet Martin O'Malley. He was very cordial and even remembered singing with the St. Patrick's choir about 10 years ago when we did a special Celtic Mass. I told him that I often told people that I have sung with him.
